When using Andover Shopmobility I agree:
- I have been instructed in the safe use of the vehicles.
- To operate the vehicle around the town centre with due care, attention and consideration for other shoppers.
- Extra care will be exercised when in crowded and restricted areas and pedestrians will always be given right of way.
- The vehicles are ‘pavement vehicles’ only and do not have right of way on the Highway.
- Pedestrian crossings, where available, and dropped kerbs will always be used to cross roads.
- Brakes on manual chairs will be applied when the vehicle is stationary.
- Not to carry passengers of any description whilst the vehicle is in my care.
- Not to allow any other person to use the vehicle without the agreement of Shopmobility.
- To notify the staff of any problems that arise when using the vehicle.
- To return the vehicle in good condition by the time agreed with Shopmobility staff.
When using a powered vehicle I further agree that the vehicle:
- Will not be left unattended unless parked safely with the key removed.
- Will not be taken away from Andover unless agreed with Shopmobility.
- Will be switched off when not in use, particularly when getting off.
- Handlebars will not be used to carry shopping bags or handbags as they cause obstruction to the controls and levers.
- Will not to be used whilst under the influence of alcohol, illegal drugs or any medication that would impair ability to operate the equipment safely.
I confirm that as far as I am aware I do not have any condition that would impair my ability to operate the vehicles safely.
In the event of any change in my condition, which might affect my ability to operate the said equipment safely, I undertake to advise Shopmobility immediately and to undergo a new assessment.
Shopmobility reserves the right to refuse the hire of equipment to customers who do not comply with these terms and conditions. This may affect your usage at other Wessex schemes.
All customers use Shopmobility equipment at their own risk and Shopmobility accepts no liability for injury, loss or damage except when resulting from the failure of Shopmobility to keep the equipment properly maintained.
